Due to continued success, WeDo: Digital is looking for a .NET Developer. You’ll be joining our international development team, reporting to the development team lead. You’ll be working alongside our team of full stack developers, taking an active role in creating new features across our broad product range, as well as working to define and create new, exciting products for our clients.

You’ll be expected to work with a range of technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript, Azure (amongst many others) and have the opportunity to learn new skills and teach your knowledge to others as you progress.

 

You will be:

  • Building new and existing features for company projects covering our diverse client base
  • Supporting existing and new developments
  • Identify and suggest key areas of improvement throughout our systems
  • Offering support for technical queries to our client liaison team where needed

 

Your expertise:

  • At least 2 years’ commercial experience
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including but not limited to NET MVC (C#), LINQ, Entity Framework, .NET Core
  • Knowledge of SQL and Database Design
  • Knowledge and experience of other web languages and technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Ability to solve moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision
  • Understanding / experience of the software development life cycle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A keen eye for and attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Passionate about development and learning new skills and technologies
  • Enjoy working as part of a high energy and fun team in a fast-paced environment

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of Web APIs (REST, Microsoft Web API etc)
  • Understanding of clean code approaches, design patterns and SOLID principles
  • Understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience of other front-end frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, Blazor, etc)
  • Experience of using front end CSS frameworks such as Tailwind
  • Experience of writing code in a TDD/BDD manner
  • Exposure to agile software development, including use of JIRA for defects and incidents
  • Worked in or have knowledge of the Recruitment / Finance / Payroll / Accounting sector
  • Able to solve problems unassisted but also know when you need to ask questions

 

Salary: DOE

Location: Remote-first – MediaCityUK office

Working hours: Everyone gets a choice of core working hours (08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, 10:00-18:00), so you can have a work routine that suits you.
